When growing hydroponics indoors environmental control is vital if you want a successful harvest. Anyone within the hydroponic industry knows that providing the correct environment for your plants is essential if you want to grow healthy and productive plants.
At The Hippie House we've made taking care of your hydroponic environment easy. We've put together a list of products below which will help aid you in providing your plants with the utopia they deserve. You'll find everything you'll ever need including airflow control equipment such as ducting fans, temperature and CO2 equipment, suction and exhaust fans, oxygen generators, timers, dehumidifiers, carbon filters, automated fire extinguishers, panda film, ventilation kits, clip and wall fans and so much more.
You'll find a range of different sized equipment including 4 inch (100mm), 5 inch (125mm), 6 inch (150mm), 8 inch (200mm), 10 inch (250mm) and 12 inch (300mm). For small grow rooms and grow tents you'll want to choose a 4-5 inch ventilation system. For medium sized grow rooms and grow tents try a 6-8 inch ventilation system and for anything larger you'll need one or more 10-12 inch systems.
Creating a ventilation system is easy. You'll need two fans, ducting and a carbon filter if required. Basically you have one fan positioned on the outside of the grow room / grow tent. This fan will then suck the air from outside through ducting and into the growing space. The other fan is then positioned inside the grow room / grow tent and that takes the air from within the grow space outside. This creates a never ending cycle of fresh air being pumped in and the old air being pumped out. Having this within your hydroponic system is a must as not feeding your plants fresh air and oxygen will provide slow growth, small yields and it will have a large impact on the health of your plants.
If you want to use a carbon filter within your hydroponic ventilation system it's as simple as choosing the right size. For example a 4 inch carbon filter, 6 inch carbon filter, 8 inch, 10 inch ect. If your running a 4 inch ventilation system then choose a 4 inch carbon filter and so on and so forth. Then connect it between the fan inside your grow tent / room and the ducting. From there any air within the growing space will then be first blown through the carbon filter which captures odors. Once it passes the carbon filter it then continues through the ducting and then ends up outside as clean recycled air.
In terms of ducting we offer a few types including standard aluminium ducting, acoustic ducting and PVC coated ducting. The aluminium ducting is an affordable but yet quality ducting usually sold in 6 meter lengths. The acoustic ducting contains an insulated layer which makes the ducting sound proof, puncture resistant and most importantly an gives it an airtight air flow. The PVC coated ducting is similar to the acoustic but also comes with an outer layer of PVC which provides an entirely light proof ducting.
You'll also find hydroponic environmental control parts and accessories such as timers, fire extinguishers, clip fans for grow tents, fan speed controllers, humidifiers, quick release clamps, wall adapters and extension leads as well as other handy equipment. You'll also find ready made ventilation kits which include everything you need to ventilate your grow room - these are perfect for beginners.
