Product Introduction

TheVIVOSUN GrowHub X42 AI Controller is an all-in-one smart grow automation system designed to centralise lighting, ventilation, circulation and compatible environmental-control equipment inside indoor grow tents and hydroponic growing spaces.

Built around a large7-inch colour touchscreen with 1024 x 600 resolution, the X42 provides real-time environmental information, device status, control settings and detailed grow logs from a single interface. The system supports up to6 wired device connections, expandable with compatible splitters, along with up to10 wireless device connections.

The X42 combines temperature and humidity sensing withVPD-based environmental management and VIVOSUN's AI climate-control system. When used with compatible grow equipment, it can automatically adjust lighting, duct fans, circulation fans and climate-control devices to help maintain a more stable growing environment.

Smart GrowHub AI Control

TheGrowHub X42 is designed as the central control point for compatible VIVOSUN Smart Grow System equipment.

Its AI control system analyses real-time environmental readings and responds by adjusting connected devices according to selected climate targets. Growers can monitor and manage temperature, relative humidity and VPD while coordinating compatible lighting, ventilation and climate equipment from one system.

Three dedicated AI strategies allow the controller's behaviour to be matched to different priorities.

Important: AdvancedAI Mode is activated and configured through the VIVOSUN App.

The standard X42 specification lists a temperature and humidity sensor. The controller also supports VIVOSUN's compatible4-in-1 Sensor for expanded sensing functions. CO₂ and light detection should therefore only be advertised when the compatible 4-in-1 sensor is connected.

GrowHub X42 7-Inch Smart Controller

The main X42 console features a7-inch colour LCD touchscreen, providing a larger local control interface than earlier compact GrowHub controllers.

Its1024 x 600 display resolution presents current environmental readings, connected-device status, automation controls and historical information directly on the controller.

The controller measures approximately7.3 x 4.3 x 0.7 inches, equivalent to approximately18.6 x 10.9 x 1.9 cm, allowing it to be mounted conveniently outside a grow tent using its magnetic mounting system.

A supplied sensor probe extends approximately3 metres, making it easier to position the environmental sensor within the plant canopy while keeping the controller itself accessible outside the tent.

Grow Tent & Indoor Grow System Compatibility

The GrowHub X42 is designed for use withindoor grow tents, indoor grow rooms and compatible hydroponic growing systems.

The touchscreen controller can be mounted outside a grow tent using its built-in magnetic mounting system and supplied iron plate. This keeps the main display easily accessible while the environmental sensor remains inside the growing space.

The separate Hub can be mounted inside the grow tent using the compatible mounting hook, helping centralise connected lighting, ventilation and circulation equipment.

The X42 is designed for indoor use and should not be installed outdoors or in locations exposed to excessive moisture, corrosive chemicals or hazardous materials.

Temperature, Humidity & VPD Management

A key function of the GrowHub X42 is its ability to use environmental data to automate compatible grow equipment.

The standard temperature and humidity sensor provides real-time readings from inside the grow area. Using this information, the controller can monitortemperature, relative humidity and VPD and use these readings as triggers for compatible environmental equipment.

For example, a compatible inline duct fan can operate automatically according to temperature, humidity or VPD thresholds. Fan speed can increase as conditions move further away from the selected target range.

Compatible heating equipment can also operate according to either a target temperature or target VPD, with safety temperature ranges available for appropriate connected equipment.

For expanded environmental sensing, the X42 supports a compatibleVIVOSUN 4-in-1 Sensor. CO₂ and light detection require appropriate compatible sensing hardware and should not be treated as functions of the standard temperature/humidity probe alone.

The GrowHub X42 provides central control for multiple categories of compatible VIVOSUN grow equipment.

The Hub includes dedicated interfaces for compatibleLumaLight and AeroLight grow lights, while six universal Type-C device ports can connect compatible equipment such asAeroWave clip-on fans and AeroZesh inline fans.
