Product Introduction

The VIVOSUN LumaRay Side Lights 4-Bar system is designed to provide supplemental LED lighting to the sides and lower areas of an indoor plant canopy where a conventional overhead grow light may provide less direct illumination. Rather than replacing the main grow light, these compact light bars work alongside an existing fixture to improve light distribution around shaded foliage and lower growth.

The system includes four LED light bars with a combined power consumption of 50W. Each bar measures approximately 16.3 x 1.0 x 0.5 inches, or around 41.4 x 2.5 x 1.3 cm, making the lights compact enough to position vertically or horizontally around a grow tent without taking up significant growing space.

The LumaRay system produces a red-enhanced full spectrum, including 660nm deep red light, with approximately 60% of the spectrum within the 600–700nm red range. VIVOSUN specifies a lighting efficiency of 2.75 µmol/J, while prism-style optical lens covers provide a broad 120° lighting angle for supplemental side-canopy coverage.

Smart GrowHub & SGS Control

The VIVOSUN LumaRay Side Lights are compatible with the VIVOSUN Smart Grow System (SGS), allowing supplemental grow lighting to be integrated with compatible smart controllers and other VIVOSUN grow equipment.

The 4-Bar system can be connected to compatible GrowHub E42A and E42A+ controllers, as well as the VIVOSUN E25 controller. When connected through a compatible controller, the lights can be managed through the VIVOSUN App for remote operation and dimming.

GrowHub control provides preset dimming levels of 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%, plus OFF, while the VIVOSUN App allows adjustable output from 25% to 100%, plus OFF.

The lights can also be integrated with compatible SGS equipment and VIVOSUN grow recipes, helping growers coordinate supplemental lighting with a wider smart indoor grow system.

Grow Tent Compatibility & Installation

The LumaRay Side Lights are designed primarily as supplemental grow tent lighting rather than as a standalone primary overhead grow light.

Their slim bar design allows them to be installed around the sides of an indoor grow area, directing additional illumination towards foliage that may be shaded by the upper plant canopy.

VIVOSUN provides two main installation methods. The included support pole clamps allow the bars to be mounted directly to compatible grow tent frame poles, while the supplied magnetic clamps and metal plates allow the lights to be positioned against compatible tent walls.

The bars can therefore be positioned according to plant height, canopy structure and the layout of the growing space.

The system can also be daisy-chained with compatible lighting equipment featuring an appropriate RJ11 connection, providing additional flexibility when building a wider supplemental lighting setup.
